Currently working as a DevOps/SRE at Pinterest and previously as an Operating Systems teacher. I am pationate about GNU/Linux and Programming. Hi! I am a digital nomad with a slow travel mindset because I can grasp better people's culture. Getting to know my way around and different points of view, helps me to improve and increase my set of skills. In my professional life, I move that mindset to solve everyday tasks. Although my main experience is as Backend Engineer, I have a diverse skill set from all software development stages. I developed those to try to find decent and efficient solutions. Greater the challenge more thinking outside the box is required, and I feel comfortable doing that. I have lately found mesmerizing DevOps and DataScience because of the broader sight required to solve problems. Working in the industry, I realize the importance of knowing when to stop and relax without losing sight of the goals. That's why I try to promote a work balance and easy-going environment, and I appreciate that in a company. if you think I’m what you are looking for, check my GitHub / LinkedIn or just contact me. I love software development, it's what I knew I wanted to be doing for the rest of my life since I was sixteen and, indeed, it's what I've been doing since I graduated college as a Systems Engineer (mostly computer science) in 2013. I particularly love the web, it's the closest we've come to an universal platform and so, by working on the web I feel I'm reaching the most people. I place maintainability above all else when writing my code, which is why I refactor and re-refactor constantly to make the code as easy to read as possible, as well as writing tests for everything (if possible) to prevent regressions. I also like doing operations work - I often dabble with stuff like docker and continuous integration platforms - but always in service to the web applications I prefer writing. I also like helping other people and answering questions, which is why I keep a fairly active profile in Stack Overflow and contribute to open source projects when I can and feel that the contribution is worthwhile. Finally, I love movies, feel free to talk to me about cinema, but be warned that I keep going and going.
