Behrooz S.

Ruby on Rails developer in the Netherlands (UTC+2)

I have worked with Ruby on and off since 2011. In this time, I have dived deep into ActionView and ActiveRecord, implemented solutions consisting of a mix of technologies (rails, SQS, SNS, Go, docker). In the past 7-8 years, I have also played a major role in designing the solutions. However, I consider myself a polyglot developer. So the language itself is no a barrier and because I have worked extensively with technologies like Ruby, Java, Python, Elixir, and Go, it usually takes no time for me to get productive in them. About the experience with AWS and CI: I have worked with ECS, SES, SNS, SQS, S3, ECR, Elastic beans, Elastic cache, RDS, Aurora, ... and when it comes to CI I usually take the active role. For example at my current employer, I managed to move the infrastructure from bitbucket and bamboo to github and circleci reducing our build time from 160 minutes to under 30 minutes. Before that, introduced cypress tests, proper linting, ... I guess, I should stop before it gets too long and boring :-)

Hiring full-time remote Ruby on Rails developers can help keep your website up-to-date.

If you’re looking to hire the best remote Ruby on Rails developers, consider niche platforms like Arc that naturally attract and carefully vet their Ruby on Rails developers for hire. Some factors to consider when you hire Ruby on Rails developers include the platform’s specialty, developer’s geographical location, and the service’s customer support. Depending on your hiring budget, you may also want to compare the pricing and fee structure.

Writing a good Ruby on Rails developer job description is crucial in helping you hire Ruby on Rails developers that your company needs. A job description’s key elements include a clear job title, a brief company overview, a summary of the role, the required duties and responsibilities, and necessary and preferred experience. To attract top talent, it's also helpful to list other perks and benefits, such as flexible hours and health coverage.

Crafting a compelling job title is critical as it's the first thing that job seekers see. It should offer enough information to grab their attention and include details on the seniority level, type, and area or sub-field of the position.

Your company description should succinctly outline what makes your company unique to compete with other potential employers. The role summary for your remote Ruby on Rails developer should be concise and read like an elevator pitch for the position, while the duties and responsibilities should be outlined using bullet points that cover daily activities, tech stacks, tools, and processes used.
