I'm currently working as a backend developer using both Rust and Python. I've been the first full-time engineering hire on two startups so I've done many different things across the years spanning the full stack. Most of my experience has been doing backend development though. I have been a trainer both in Spanish and English for security offensive courses.

Hello everyone! I am Bruno Ledesma, a software engineer from Argentina. Graduated from Universidad Austral. My experience spans Software Engineering, Programming, Backend and Frontend Programming, Web Services, distributed systems. Nowadays I'm interested in shifting to Scala because is my favorite programming language. I've always been attracted to how it attempts to combine functional paradigm with OOP. However, my 'official' working experience is based in Java because of the positions I've been in. I'm playing around with some little projects with Scala just for practicing. Also, I used Scala in a couple of projects during college where I first known about it. As a software engineer, it is vital to keep evolving, stay tuned, to the most recent developments, cutting edge technology, and working paradigms. Fortunately, I consider myself a fast-learner and an open-minded person who is focused on giving the best in every environment I'm currently working on. I'm passionate about sharing everything I read and learn with my colleagues and teammates, but also, about actively listening to new ideas, approaches, and critiques.

Tech Lead at Dexteel. Fullstack Software Engineer. React, Vue2, AngularJS, Angular 2+. Backend PHP Laravel, NodeJS Express Currently, I'm working as a Tech Lead at Dexteel. I very much enjoy my job as it provides me with the opportunity to try to integrate all the different things that I've been learning during all my career. Also, the challenge of leading a team is very pleasant for me because it pushes me to give my best: * Try to code as an example for other devs * Try to document the special things * Help devs grow is a value for every part (devs, company, and myself) Some contributions that I'd like to share: * Dexteel (current job) I created a Jenkins server with automated deployment for testing purposes and, ultimately, to production. I had to integrate different technical areas like server administration, docker containers, and software development. This sped up the processes a lot. Now every dev can invest its time developing instead of wasting time on deployment * Workstride (at my previous company) The project was big. A lot of AngularJS files, some of them in plain javascript and the other ones in Typescript. The process of building was taking too long and this made the frontend development experience a little bit tedious, without even mentioning the server's costs. Imagine that, if you created a single button, it could take up to 1min in every rebuild to see the results in the navigator. What I did was analyze the build process and split what could be running in parallel, update/install/remove some dependencies and set up some webpack configurations to make it faster. It was a success: now every build took less than 9 seconds My co-workers would say me: a supportive, eager-to-learn, patient and experienced team player.
