About the Company

We are an innovative platform redefining the trading card game (TCG) experience. Our virtual mystery box site offers users the excitement of opening boxes for a chance to win valuable cards from popular games such as Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon.

Users can deposit funds, open boxes for a shot at rare cards, and either ship their winnings or sell them back for site currency. Backed by private investment, we are preparing for a major launch in collaboration with a leading influencer in the TCG space.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our team and support our mission of delivering a seamless, engaging experience to our users. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the founder, currently the sole engineer, to enhance the platform’s functionality, ensure its reliability, and implement new features in preparation for our upcoming launch.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned developer with expertise in both frontend and backend technologies who thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency with Next.js (version 14 preferred, particularly the App Router).
• Experience working with Supabase for backend development.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL/SQL.
• Proven full-stack development skills, with the ability to work independently and solve complex technical challenges.
• Effective communication and collaboration in remote settings.

Nice to Have Skills

• Interest or familiarity with trading card games or gaming platforms.
• Experience in building scalable and secure applications.
• Background in e-commerce systems or virtual currency platforms.
• Startup experience or familiarity with rapid development cycles.

Additional Information

• Contract Duration: 3-6 months, with potential for ongoing collaboration post-launch.
• Work Hours: Full-time, 40+ hours per week (flexible for 20-40 hours based on candidate availability).
• Location: Fully remote, with preference for candidates in regions overlapping US Central Time.
