Senior Java Engineer

The client is implementing a regulatory compliance platform to support upcoming requirements related to deforestation (EURD) and corporate sustainability (LkSG, CSDDD) in sourcing. The current reliance on manual data entry across ERP and supplier systems is unsustainable and poses a risk to operational efficiency and compliance readiness.

This project aims to design an automated integration layer between existing wholesale and retail ERP systems and the new SaaS compliance platform. The objective is to ensure data accuracy, scalability, and timely reporting to meet growing regulatory demands, while reducing manual workload and mitigating risk.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-quality Java-based applications
• Create detailed technical specifications for applications
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Ensure applications meet performance and scalability requirements
• Work closely with other teams to ensure the end product meets the client’s needs
• Monitor application performance and provide optimization recommendations
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering
• Strong knowledge of Java
• Strong experience with the Spring Framework
• Practical knowledge of software design patterns and data structures
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles
• Knowledge of application architecture principles
• Understanding of JVM and GC
• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven and Gradle
• Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Strong knowledge of RESTful web services and API design

Will be a plus:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
• Exposure to DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
