Full-Stack Developer for Supabase/Next.js Marketplace

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer to expand our PostgreSQL/Next.js boilerplate into a sophisticated multi-vendor marketplace. The project will involve enhancing our existing database schema and modifying pages to support functionalities such as product management, vendor inventory, order processing, payment handling, and Stripe integrations. Note that the boilerplate already has the database connected, a full component library, and Stripe subscriptions set up. We also have our product data in a clear, concise csv with all necessary data.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the existing database schema to accommodate multi-vendor marketplace requirements.

• Duplicate and modify existing boilerplate pages to support admin driven product catalog, vendor inventory (vendors select what they sell from the catalog), in-store orders, customer data, and payments.

• Develop and implement CRUD endpoints for seamless data management.

• Conduct comprehensive testing to ensure the reliability and performance of the marketplace.

Notes

• Boilerplate already has role-based access control, stripe subscriptions, and next.js auth built in.

• If interested, impliment robust Stripe integrations, including vendor subscriptions and vendor webhooks to Stripe Terminal. Fee routing Will be handled by Stripe Connect

Important

• While vendors will use catalog to chose which products they have in stock, they will also need the option to purchase that stock. Those purchase are from the admin account, and the vendors are the admins customers.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and Next.js for developing scalable web applications.

• Expertise in developing and managing RESTful APIs.

• Solid understanding of database design and schema enhancement.

• Ability to implement and leverage role-based access controls.

• Experience in conducting thorough testing of web applications.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with multi-vendor marketplace dynamics and challenges.

• Experience with webhooks and real-time data processing.

• Proficiency in implementing and integrating Stripe for payment processing.
