About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join us on our journey of building a secure, AI-powered lease negotiation platform. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has expertise in developing enterprise-grade systems with a focus on back-end functionality, real-time collaboration, and AI integration. You’ll work closely with the founder to design and implement the platform’s architecture, ensuring high security, efficiency, and scalability.

In this role, you’ll:

• Build and implement a secure foundation for real-time document collaboration, including end-to-end encryption, multi-tenant data isolation, and granular permissions.
• Develop dynamic WebSocket infrastructure for instantaneous updates across multiple stakeholders, enabling smooth collaboration while maintaining document integrity.
• Integrate OCR capabilities (e.g., AWS Textract or Google Cloud Vision) to process lease documents, preserving formatting and enabling AI-driven analysis.
• Connect GPT-4’s API to create an AI engine capable of analyzing lease terms, identifying risks, and providing real-time insights into changes during negotiations.
• Design and optimize the database architecture using PostgreSQL, implementing encryption for persistent storage and leveraging Redis for session management and real-time updates.
• Develop a real-time deal cycle tracking system that reflects lease changes, stakeholder inputs, and AI analyses across all interfaces.
• Create intuitive, role-specific user interfaces that deliver actionable insights while adhering to strict security protocols.
• Implement a sophisticated notification system to alert stakeholders of updates, AI insights, and actions required during negotiations.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a senior full-stack developer, with a focus on back-end development.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL, Socket.io, AWS, Docker, and Redis.
• Strong understanding of real-time collaboration systems, including WebSocket infrastructure and state management.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI’s GPT-4) and OCR services (e.g., AWS Textract or Google Cloud Vision).
• Advanced knowledge of enterprise security protocols, including end-to-end encryption and data isolation.
• Familiarity with building multi-tenant systems with granular permission controls.
• A deep understanding of modern software architecture, including distributed systems and caching mechanisms.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex, interconnected systems.

Nice to Have Skills

• Familiarity with the commercial real estate negotiation process or experience building tools for this industry.
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience resolving conflicts in collaborative systems (e.g., concurrent edits).
• Prior experience with iterative development in startup environments.

Additional Information

• Engagement Model: Contractor model (30 hours/week).
• Time Zones: Developers should have partial availability between 7 PM and 11 PM ET for collaboration.
• Project Timeline: Initial engagement estimated at 6 months to 1 year, with potential for extension or full-time transition based on performance.
• Team Structure: This is an individual contributor role for now, with plans to expand the team as the platform develops.
