Role Overview

Join byTokn, a pioneering payments platform utilizing blockchain and NFT technology to facilitate secure, anonymous, and compliant transactions. Our innovative approach involves Digital Asset Receipts (DARs) as NFTs backed by fiat value, enhancing the checkout experience across a selected network of merchants. We aim to revolutionize payment solutions in industries underserved by traditional financial systems, providing fast, secure, and privacy-focused services.

Responsibilities

• Build and expand the core wallet and checkout infrastructure of byTokn.
• Integrate stablecoins, NFTs, and fiat on/off ramps into payment processes.
• Develop smart contracts for minting, redemption, and transfer of Digital Asset Receipts (DARs).
• Design secure APIs and create seamless walletless/guest checkout experiences.
• Collaborate with the founding team to deliver impactful features from the start.
• Contribute to the architecture of a payment flow where users pay in fiat and receive an NFT representing stored value.

Required Skills

• Over 5 years of experience in full stack development using Node.js, TypeScript, or similar technologies.
• At least 2 years of experience in payment processing, including gateways, merchant account APIs, and settlement logic.
• Minimum of 2 years in blockchain experience, particularly with Ethereum or EVM chains, NFTs, and wallet integrations.
• Strong understanding of security best practices, including custodial/non-custodial flows, PCI, OFAC, and AML.
• Proficiency in minting NFTs and deploying ERC-20/721/1155 smart contracts in production environments.
• API-first development mindset with excellent documentation and version control skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with token gating, decentralized identity, or zk-rollups.
• Background in checkout flows involving referral partners or affiliate linking.
• Experience building compliance-aware systems using tools like SumSub, Persona, or Alloy.
• Familiarity with high-risk merchant flows or alternative payment rails.
