What we’re looking for
A Software Engineer with experience in Typescript, React/NextJS, Node.js, AWS & TDD. You'll be joining our New User Experience (NUX) squad, working in a product squad with a data-driven mission to develop and optimise features that drive user engagement for our D2C pipeline, improve conversion rates and enhance monetisation strategies.
How we work together
We organise ourselves into cross-functional squads, with each squad working together on a common goal. This role will be aa part of our engineering squad consisting of a Engineering Manager, Software Engineers, a DevOps Engineer, a QA Engineer, a Product Manager and a Product Designer.
What you’ll do
- You will work in a self-organising team in our product ecosystem providing technical development skills (React/Next/Node/AWS) within the squad, co-solutioning and getting hands-on implementing the solutions to help your squad achieve it's goal.
- You will contribute to the design and code base of React & NextJS front-end web applications, serverless NodeJS back-end applications and distributed AWS cloud systems. Within your squad you'll bring these solutions to life, writing high-quality code utilising test-driven development (Jest /Cypress), continuous integration (AWS) and code review (GitHub).
- You will be collaborating closely with product managers and UX/UI designers to create cohesive, user-centric experiences and ensure the smooth integration of new features.
- Help troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that might impact user experience, conversion rates or payment processing.
- You and your cross-functional squad will look after application features from inception to production working with customers and business stakeholders to bring them to life and support them in production.
Requirements
It’s the perfect role for you if you have:
- Experience in implementing web applications using Javascript, React/NextJS, Node.js, Typescript, HTML & CSS
- An understanding of architectural practices including: Microservices, REST, object-oriented & functional programming, relational database design and NOSQL databases.
- Experience working with cloud computing providers (such as AWS).
- Experience working in an agile environment with CI/CD.
- Experience in sharing ideation thoughts and executing A/B tests to evaluate the impact of different features and monetisation strategies.
- Experience in optimising webpage performance to ensure fast load times and smooth interactions.
- 3+ years of commercial experience as a software engineer
- Experience working with non-technical stakeholders and the ability to boil down complex technical problems and make them easy to understand.

- Experience in a startup environment.
- Experience working with Optimizely A/B experimentation tool.
