Senior Full Stack Engineer (React, Python, CSS) - FT - LATAM/Asia/Europe

About us:

Aura is an AI-agent that automates email and browser based workflows for companies in freight forwarding – a subset of logistics. We are backed by a domain-expert with 35+ years of experience (has built and scaled several freight forwarding companies to $150M+) and a founder at Notion.

Aura integrates into a freight forwarder’s mailbox, reads emails from their customers and then autonomously handles communication on their behalf with airlines, truckers, customs brokers and other freight forwarders.

About the role

We’re looking for a full-stack engineer to join our team as a contractor. You will play a foundational role in building the initial versions of the product that our customers will use in production. You will work closely with the founder to translate product vision into robust and scalable systems, and eventually help integrate AI-driven capabilities into our logistics platform.

Key responsibilities

● Develop and maintain web applications using Python (backend) and React (frontend)
● Strong technical skill in React and frontend development
● Collaborate closely with product leadership to design and deliver customer-facing features
● Write clean, maintainable code and establish development best practices
● High-quality UI/UX with strong CSS and design implementation skills
● Iterate on Customer Feedback fast.
● Build production-ready versions of the product for early customer feedback.

Required Skills

● 4+ years of experience in full-stack web development
● Proficiency in Python and React.js
● Strong command of CSS for responsive and polished UI work
● Experience working in fast-paced, product-centric environments
● Ability to take ownership of features from concept to deployment
● Clear written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to Have Skills

● Familiarity with Java or HTML
● Exposure to logistics, supply chain, or operations platforms
● Experience at an early-stage startup or on a small, agile engineering team
● Interest in or exposure to AI/ML concepts (though not required)

● Flexible working hours; time zone overlap is nice but not required
● Candidate must be comfortable operating autonomously and collaborating directly
with the founder
