1. Our First Focus: Gardening: Plants are vital to ecosystems, but growing them successfully is challenging, with over 390,000 species and countless environmental variables to consider. Our app “Greg” provides localized, real-time advice to help users care for plants and promote biodiversity.
2. Our Current Focus: Skincare: Skin, the body’s largest organ, plays a critical role in protecting health and regulating hydration while reflecting internal and external conditions. Our app “Dab” will deliver science-backed, personalized guidance to help users improve skin health, confidence, and overall well-being.

What You'll Build

You’ll develop modular system components, including:

• Memory Module: Tracks user history, preferences, and feedback to personalize recommendations.
• Feedback Module: Logs user interactions, refines insights, and ensures the app improves over time.
• Intent Module: Processes user inputs into actionable instructions for the system.
• Recommendation Module: Provides clear, actionable skincare advice using AI logic.

Each module involves three main components:

• Codebase: Lightweight Python to connect systems and manage logic.
• LLM Prompts: Predefined prompts created by our AI engineer to guide the AI’s responses.
• Data Layer: A PostgreSQL database that stores user information and feedback.

• You have 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• You have 4+ years of experience in Python/Django and PostgreSQL.
• You’re curious about AI and eager to learn how language models work.
