Role Overview
Join our innovative and small social media tool startup as a Postgres Backend Developer. Collaborate closely with our technical cofounder to enhance our backend infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in developing and managing our database systems, ensuring seamless integration with our existing tech stack, which includes Supabase, Vercel, NuxtJS, and FFMPEG.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy SQL databases with a focus on scalability and performance.
- Develop and manage a flexible video queue system that interacts smoothly with the frontend.
- Implement endpoints for scheduled operations, ensuring data is pulled accurately from the queue.
- Establish comprehensive logging systems for error tracking and execution reporting.
- Develop predictive models for upload timestamps based on user-defined schedules.
- Implement retry mechanisms to enhance system reliability.
- Regularly communicate with the team through virtual meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
Required Skills
- At least 3 years of experience in designing and deploying SQL databases.
- Proficiency in working with Supabase.
- Strong verbal communication skills in English for effective virtual meetings.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Vue.js and NuxtJS.
- Familiarity with PostgREST and PostgrestJS.
