Senior Backend Developer (Typescript, AWS) - Fulltime - Worldwide

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building and maintaining robust APIs and will be proficient in utilizing AWS services. You will play a crucial role in developing backend solutions that support our applications and ensure seamless integration with various systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs using Fastify.
• Work with PostgreSQL to manage and optimize databases for performance and scalability.
• Leverage AWS services, including EC2, to deploy and manage cloud-based solutions.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scalability through efficient coding practices and architecture design.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application functionality and performance.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience in backend development with a focus on TypeScript.
• Proficiency in using AWS services, particularly EC2.
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL for database management.
• Experience with Fastify for building high-performance APIs.
• Strong understanding of API architecture and integration.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with other AWS services beyond EC2.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
• Knowledge of additional backend frameworks or libraries.
