Client seeks a highly skilled AI Strategist to lead efforts in improving model reasoning performance and enhancing instruction-following capabilities in coding tasks. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI challenges, focusing on long-chain-of-thought (Long-CoT) processes and complex task workflows. The ideal candidate will have a background in top AI companies like OpenAI or Google, with expertise in project planning, architectural design, and high-level strategy for AI/LLM training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic plans for improving AI models’ reasoning performance, emphasizing Long-CoT and agent workflows.
- Design architectures and frameworks to enhance instruction-following in coding, addressing simple to complex task hierarchies and multi-round interactions.
- Define project goals, resource allocation strategies, and execution roadmaps in collaboration with the research team.
- Provide insights into task complexity levels, creating structured methodologies for advancing model performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams (EU, China, Singapore, US).
- Consult on scalable team structures and processes to manage large-scale data production teams
Qualifications:
- Education: PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent high-level experience.
- Experience: 10+ years in AI/ML, including model reasoning, LLMs, and complex workflows.
- Proven expertise with top AI projects, ideally at organizations like OpenAI, Google, Bytedance, or Meta.
- Hands-on experience in training models for instruction-following tasks, Long-CoT, or complex coding workflows.
- Technical Skills:
*Strong knowledge of LLMs, NLP, and AI model architecture.
*Experience with data strategy, including large-scale SFT (10,000 samples) and RM (100,000 samples).
- Soft Skills:
*Strategic thinker with excellent project planning and architectural design skills.
*Strong communication and leadership abilities, able to guide high-level discussions and decision-making.
Additional Considerations:
- Flexibility in working across global time zones.
- Mandarin proficiency is advantageous but not required.
