Machine Learning Expert (RAG) - Part-time - NA/LATAM

About the Role

We’re looking for a Machine Learning Expert to level up our knowledge base system—the intelligence backbone behind BrokerBot, our flagship AI assistant for the real estate industry. This role is ideal for someone who’s fluent in both academic machine learning concepts and practical, production-ready implementation.

You’ll work directly with our founding team to improve document ingestion, metadata search, and retrieval quality, and help shape a "set-it-and-forget-it" system that scales with minimal intervention.

What You’ll Work On

• Enhance the embedding-based retrieval system powering BrokerBot’s RAG capabilities
• Improve document processing, chunking, and metadata extraction
• Optimize similarity search and knowledge lookup pipelines
• Evaluate and integrate LLM tools and open-source models
• Collaborate closely with TypeScript engineers to deploy and test in production

Ideal Background

• 5+ years in machine learning, with strong applied experience
• Hands-on experience building retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines
• Proficient in Python (preferred) and comfortable working alongside a TypeScript stack
• Practical knowledge of embedding techniques, vector search, and metadata tagging
• Comfortable shipping directly to production—this is not a research role
• Previous experience with tools like Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate, or homegrown solutions
• AI-native mindset—using tools like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or WindSurf is a plus
