About the role:
We are seeking an experienced AI Solutions Architect to join our team developing next-generation AI and geospatial AI platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep experience building solutions in AWS using AWS Redshift, experience in building retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions, and experience building
solutions with H3 geospatial indexing (see H3 Slack). In this role, you will design and implement scalable, AI-powered solutions that leverage spatial data to solve complex business challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement solution data warehouse using AWS Redshift with relevant connectors to target databases (e.g. CSV, JSON, GeoJSON)
- Develop solution architecture for integrating data warehouse with RAG workflows using large language models (LLMS) from AWS Bedrock
- Leverage AWS Redshift H3 indexing capabilities to enable spatial queries of data stored and managed in data warehouse
- Collaborate with team and 3 rd party partner data engineers to design and build data pipelines for ingesting and processing data, including for geospatial data
- Create reference architecture documentation for building AI-powered geospatial search and analytics solution
- Define preliminary data catalog for AI-powered geospatial search and analytics solution
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in AI solution architecture, data engineering, or related field
- Deep experience designing and implementing solutions using AWS Redshift as data warehouse to store, manage, and optimize for large datasets
- Hands-on expertise in RAG tools including vector databases, embeddings, etc.
- Experience with H3 geospatial indexing and spatial data analysis
- Proficiency in Python programming and data engineering concepts
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Familiarity with AWS services including Redshift, Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda,
etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification
- Experience with multi-cloud environments and hybrid deployments
- Experience building geospatial analytics solutions with AWS Redshift H3 and open-source geospatial libraries and frameworks
- Experience building GenAI solutions with public sector clients
