It is also hard to credit the urgency of our industry's commitment to usability while also imposing git on developers as a de facto requirement. My training started with an eight-week C++ class; I taught myself the rest in independent study. Before entering the industry, I took a degree from Northwestern in Sociology, which credits my facility for communication and for rapid problem-solving.
