Juliana Torrisi, RecruiterProject Overview
We are looking for a highly capable, hands-on Senior Analytics Engineer to stabilise and advance our data ecosystem following a key departure. The immediate priority is the recovery and re-authentication of our existing Microsoft Fabric and Power BI environment, followed by a high-stakes Salesforce data transformation project.
This is a "brownfield" environment that requires a professional to unpick technical debt and establish robust, scalable governance.
Key Priorities
- Environment Recovery & Stabilisation: Audit all existing Power BI and Fabric connections. Transition all "named user" authentications to Service Principals/Integration Users via Azure Key Vault to ensure long-term stability and security.
- Salesforce Pipeline (Concurrent Project): Design and execute a bidirectional data flow. This involves extracting Salesforce data, backing it up in a Fabric Lakehouse, performing complex transformations, and pushing data back into Salesforce (via Data Loader, API, or Python/Spark).
- Ad-hoc Support & Governance: Field ad-hoc data requests, manage workspace permissions, and provide clear guidance on data governance best practices.
- Reporting & Dashboarding: Restore and optimise existing dashboards, then build out new reporting suites for business stakeholders as required.
Technical Requirements
- Fabric/Azure Expertise: Proven experience managing Microsoft Fabric (Pipelines, OneLake) and resolving issues within the Azure Data Factory/Synapse stack.
- Identity & Security: Deep understanding of Service Principals, Entra ID (Azure AD), and tenant-level settings for Power BI/Fabric.
- Salesforce Specialist: Prior experience modelling Salesforce data (SOQL knowledge preferred) and the technicalities of loading data back into Salesforce via API or Data Loader.
- Architecture & Best Practice: Knowledge of Star Schema modelling and experience using Version Control (Git) within a BI environment.
- Business Facing: Fluent English and the confidence to manage stakeholder expectations during a high-pressure recovery phase.
