We’re currently looking for an experienced SAP BW/4HANA Data Engineer to join a long-term project in the energy sector, focused on building and evolving a business-critical data environment supporting Meter2Cash processes.

The project is planned until the end of 2026 with a strong possibility of extension. You’ll be working closely with business stakeholders, designing and developing data models that directly support operational processes and reporting.

German is used in day-to-day communication and is essential for this role.

Get Ready To

• Design and develop data models in SAP BW/4HANA
• Translate business requirements into technical data solutions and architecture
• Build reporting models for market communication and master data domains
• Work with source systems such as SAP S/4 Utilities, SAP MaCo Cloud, and CSV data sources
• Develop using ABAP and HANA SQL
• Define, document, and present data models for approval
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to clarify requirements and identify logical inconsistencies
• Analyze and improve incorrect or incomplete business requirements
• Deliver solutions aligned with Product Owner priorities and Agile processes
• Ensure data quality, system stability, and operational reliability
• Follow client-defined development standards and best practices.

What Were Looking For

• Strong commercial experience as a SAP BW/4HANA Developer / Data Engineer

• Hands-on experience with:

• SAP BW/4HANA (data modeling, development)

• ABAP and HANA SQL

• Experience working with data models, reporting, and analytics solutions

• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Experience in Agile environments

• Strong ownership, independence, and problem-solving mindset

• Very good communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders

• Fluent German (C1) – used in daily communication (must-have)

• English - nice to have.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

• Experience in SAP Utilities / Meter2Cash domain
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
• Background in data & analytics environments
• Experience working with complex data landscapes and multiple source systems.
