Data Expert (O&G Industry Expertise) - PT Freelance - Americas /Europe

We are seeking a Data Expert with a specialization in the Oil & Gas (O&G) industry to design and build a beginner-level practitioner course. This course aims to equip technical practitioners with foundational data knowledge and the ability to apply these skills to real-world use cases within their organizations. This is a part-time freelance opportunity available to candidates in the Americas and Europe. The role involves creating comprehensive educational content and delivering it effectively to enhance learners' capabilities in data management and analytics specific to the O&G sector.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop a structured course curriculum that covers essential data concepts and applications tailored to the Oil & Gas industry.
• Create engaging educational materials, including presentations, interactive modules, and practical exercises.
• Teach target skills such as Data Management, Data Lakes, Azure Analytics, Key Data Platforms, Standardized Data Delivery, Key Workflows, Data Types, and Key Data Products.
• Incorporate real-world O&G use cases to help learners apply theoretical knowledge practically.
• Evaluate and revise course content based on feedback to ensure it meets industry standards and learner needs.
• Guide and mentor learners through the course, providing support and clarification as needed.

Required and Preferred Skills:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience working in data roles within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven teaching experience, whether in a formal educational setting or through informal training and mentoring.
• Strong understanding of data management principles and technologies, particularly in relation to Azure Analytics and Data Lakes.
• Familiarity with key data platforms and products used in the O&G sector. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
• Experience in course design and curriculum development is highly desirable.

Nice to Have:

• Certification in data management or analytics, particularly those recognized within the O&G industry.
• Experience with standardized data delivery systems and workflows specific to O&G operations.
• Knowledge of emerging trends in data technology and their implications for the Oil & Gas sector.
• Familiarity with instructional design tools and online learning platforms.
• Passion for education and a commitment to fostering a learning environment that encourages curiosity and innovation.
