Must-have Skills

• Strong expertise in Kafka (preferably w/ Kafka Streams and Kafka Connect).
• Experience with at least one of TypeScript, Kotlin, Python, or Java.
• Hands-on experience in managing Kafka infrastructure (not limited to AWS MSK).
• Proficiency in debugging, upgrades, and resolving Kafka broker issues.
• Solid understanding of Kafka configuration and scalability best practices.
• Desirable familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and Airflow.
• Experience implementing monitoring and maintenance strategies for Kafka infrastructure.
• Experience integrating Kafka with other platforms and systems.

• AI Tooling Proficiency: Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
• Experience in cloud environments such as AWS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for deploying and maintaining Kafka services.
• Knowledge of security best practices for Kafka.
