Technical Lead / Software Engineer

This role offers an opportunity to lead and contribute to full-stack software development projects in a high-impact, security-conscious environment. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing robust applications while guiding a team of engineers through technical challenges. The position involves hands-on work with modern web technologies, Single Page Applications (SPA), and enterprise-level frameworks, ensuring secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions. You will collaborate closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software, implement best practices, and maintain operational efficiency. The role combines leadership, technical expertise, and problem-solving in a dynamic, results-driven setting with complex development and operational requirements.

Accountabilities

• Serve as Technical Lead overseeing software development operations, providing guidance and mentoring to team members.
• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java17, J2EE, Spring Boot, AngularJS/React, and other web technologies.
• Participate in Operation & Maintenance (O&M) activities, including troubleshooting, code updates, and optimizing performance.
• Conduct unit testing, peer reviews, and code check-in/-out procedures, ensuring software quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with project management to prioritize tasks, schedule technical meetings, and resolve development issues.
• Draft technical documentation such as system design specifications, process diagrams, and user guides.
• Implement and monitor software security measures, addressing vulnerabilities identified through tools like AppScan, Trivy, or SonarCube.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 years of experience in software/web development, with strong full-stack expertise in J2EE, JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS, React, Preact), and related technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Single Page Applications (SPA) development and enterprise frameworks such as Spring Boot, PrimeFaces, JSF, and Java Beans.
• Proficiency with development tools and environments including ECLIPSE, Visual Studio, JBoss/RedHat Linux, zLinux, Tomcat, UML, .NET, and HTML5.
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, GitHub Actions, incident tracking/management, and containerized environments (ECP or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of enterprise security scanning, vulnerability mitigation, and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., 508 Compliance, IRM/IRS Security).
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related discipline; relevant certifications in software development, security, or networking are a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, technical leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to mentor team members effectively.
