Work Experience

GIS assistant
BaneDanmark | Aug 2021 - Nov 2021
ArcGIS
I worked as a GIS assistant reviewing around 20000 drawings in a group of 5 assistants. Each drawing needed to get an evaluation if it was relevant for Banedanmark, and in that case capture information about the specific drawing and also create a polygon on the Denmark map that outlines the position of associated train rails.
Full Stack Programmer (Visual Basic)
International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) | Dec 1991 - Jun 2015
MySQL
Visual Studio
Fortran
Visual Basic
JavaScript
Microsoft SQL Server
I started with systems developed in S1032 and Fortran. Continued with Client Server technology using Microsoft Visual Studio and Visual Basic. I was involved in all aspects of the software development cycle, including some project management for a brief period (6 months). I worked in a project to create an internal intranet in the company, using JavaScript. This would enable HR employees to add articles to the intranet in English and Spanish, keeping a version of each article in both languages. If necessary HR employees would translate to the other language (if supplied in English they would translate to Spanish and vice versa).
