About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Swift Developer with deep expertise in Metal to join our lean team. You will be the lead expert in Swift, taking charge of the development and optimization of our iOS application, which involves advanced graphics and compute tasks. This role requires someone capable of independently leading projects, working across time zones, and delivering high-quality solutions.
Example challenges we have in the app:
- Implement runtime efficient rapid & high quality camera capture
- Work on Metal shaders for real time computer vision with our algorithms team
- Offline upload for really large files
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a high-performance iOS app using Swift and Metal
- Collaborate with the algorithms team to implement real-time computer vision using Metal shaders
- Optimize camera capture for runtime efficiency and high quality
- Handle offline uploads for large file sizes
- Ensure smooth collaboration between US-based customers and EU-based team members
Required Skills
- Expertise in Swift
- Proficiency in Metal (or experience with similar graphics frameworks like OpenGL, DirectX, or Vulkan)
- Strong problem-solving and performance optimization skills
- Ability to work independently and lead the technical direction of the project
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Firebase
- Familiarity with SwiftUI
