Senior Mobile Software Engineer

Job Description

Virtu Medical is seeking a Senior Mobile Software Engineer with experience building iOS and Android applications to lead development on a new app we are building. Candidates should have a proven track record of shipping apps to the App Store and Google Play. You will collaborate with team members in Virtu Medical to build apps in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mobile applications using any of the following: Flutter, Swift, Kotlin.
• Collaborate with program managers, designers, and backend developers to define app features and functionality.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in mobile development.
• Embrace and institute best practices and coding standards (e.g., code reviews and integration tests) within the team.
• Participate in technical meetings and contribute towards next-generation software design.
• Enhance the CI/CD pipelines, tools, and engineering processes used to build, test, deploy, and monitor the product.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing applications.

Qualifications

• Around 5 years of experience in designing, architecting, and driving the development of mobile applications from start to finish.
• Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong background in object-oriented programming.
• Experience with front-end languages and frameworks such as Typescript, Angular, and Node.js.
• Experience in [iOS/Android] development and related frameworks/languages.
• Experience in building layouts with CSS and HTML.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with database design and development.
• Experience with cloud technologies (such as Azure).
• Experience using Git/Source Control.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar engineering disciplines, including software engineering.
