Python Developers (Video analytics systems) - Full-time - EMEA/APAC

About the Role

Aswar is seeking Python Developers to join its growing city surveillance and video analytics projects. You’ll collaborate directly with the Dubai-based team, and work on real-time and playback video analysis systems that support large-scale, high-performance environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain Python-based backend services for video analytics applications (live and playback).
• Design and manage efficient data storage and caching systems using PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Implement and refine computer vision algorithms for object detection, tracking, and event recognition.
• Collaborate with the Dubai-based R&D team to integrate video analytics modules into production systems.
• Support deployment and scaling of backend services, working closely with DevOps where needed.
• Participate in architecture discussions, contributing to design decisions for performance, reliability, and scalability.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–5+ years of hands-on experience in Python development.
• Solid understanding of database technologies, especially PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Practical experience or exposure to Computer Vision (e.g., OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Familiarity with video processing, real-time analytics, or streaming systems

Good to Have

• DevOps and infrastructure experience, including Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and scaling deployments.
• Background in distributed systems, data streaming, or AI/ML for vision-based analytics.
