About the Company

Apex Growth is a performance marketing agency in need of a Marketing Data Analyst to own recurring reporting end to end — building and maintaining dashboards and pacing models, holding the numbers to a penny-exact standard, and making sure weekly, monthly, and quarterly deliverables go out on time without anyone chasing them.

This is a long-term, ongoing role, not a project-based hire. It starts at 20 hrs/week across three client portfolios, with a fast handoff from our analytics lead — the goal is full ownership within three months, not shadowing. Three portfolios is the starting load, not the ceiling: as we bring on new accounts, this role grows with the client base. The through-line is ownership of reporting accuracy, data integrity, and the systems behind them across whatever accounts they're assigned to.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Reporting & Dashboard Ownership

  • Build and maintain dashboards and performance trackers in Google Sheets, with the data feeding them pulled from BigQuery instead of SuperMetrics as we centralize on the warehouse
  • Keep pacing and forecasting models up to date, flagging discrepancies before they become problems
  • Own recurring reporting deliverables — weekly, monthly, and quarterly — plus lightweight performance write-ups (e.g., summarizing a retest result or a channel trend)

** Integrity & Accuracy**

  • Hold reporting to a penny-exact standard; reconcile numbers across platforms and the data warehouse
  • When a report breaks or data doesn't populate, trace the issue back to the source independently rather than waiting to be told where to look
  • Maintain clean, well-organized data structures that teammates can navigate without hand-holding

Analysis & Collaboration

  • Handle ad hoc analysis and data-pull requests (routed through the analytics lead at first, increasingly owned by you)
  • Work closely with channel managers to keep their performance data accurate and accessible
Document reporting logic and structures clearly so nothing lives only in one person's head

YOUR FIRST 3 MONTHS

This role exists to take recurring reporting off my plate as the analytics lead so I can move into AI and automation work. This is a fast, deliberate handoff: within three months I need you owning all three portfolios end to end, not shadowing them. Three is the starting load, not the ceiling — as we bring on new accounts, you'll take those on too, so this role grows with the client base.

  • Weeks 1-3 — Learn our reporting stack and take over our largest account fully: pacing, weekly and monthly deliverables, and QA, owned end to end without me in the loop. Reporting is light
  • Weeks 4-7 — Add a second portfolio, including its recurring performance and creative reporting, and run it independently
  • Weeks 8-12 — Add the third portfolio, and own all three end to end without step-by-step direction, holding QA so I am no longer the single point of failure on reporting

HOW I'LL MEASURE SUCCESS

  • Reporting accuracy — near-zero errors in the numbers I hand to clients. Concretely, an error rate under 2%, and any mistake caught and fixed before it ever reaches a client
  • Full client ownership — owns all three portfolios end to end within three months and runs recurring reporting without me in the loop, and can trace any number back to its source, answering where the data comes from and how the pieces connect
  • Report improvement, not just upkeep — doesn't just keep the existing reports running but meaningfully improves them: restructuring, cleaning up, and simplifying where they're fragile or messy. Ships at least one meaningful improvement to each portfolio within a month of taking it over
  • On time, every time — recurring deliverables (weekly, monthly, quarterly) go out on schedule, with no client chasing me or you for a late report

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 3–5 years in a marketing analytics or reporting-focused role
  • Comfortable pulling BigQuery data into Google Sheets (Connected Sheets or SQL); familiarity with a BI tool (Metabase / Looker Studio)
  • Has independently owned recurring reporting end to end, without step-by-step direction — and can take on more clients as we grow without needing more oversight
  • Detail-oriented above all — you double-check the numbers and don’t let errors through
  • Strong Google Sheets — fluent with SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, and nested formulas, and can read and audit advanced ones (LET, ARRAYFORMULA, QUERY) to troubleshoot when something breaks
  • Experience with paid media data across channels like Meta, TikTok, Google, or similar
  • Clear written communication — can put together a structured performance summary without heavy editing
  • Reliable and organized, and communicates status and blockers proactively
  • 20 hrs/week to start

Nice to Haves

  • Interest in learning AI / automation workflows (e.g., Claude Code) as part of the role
  • Not afraid of writing code to automate some repetitive tasks
