Jane Cervantes, RecruiterABOUT the company
Client is a performance marketing agency running paid acquisition across B2B, e-commerce, and consumer brands — long-sales-cycle accounts where revenue closes in a CRM, and transactional ones where it closes in a cart. The work sits with senior operators: no coordinators between you and the strategy, and no junior team executing your plan badly.
For an analyst who likes building more than maintaining, that means new reporting to stand up for every new account, channel and creative leads who actually use what you build, and the room to own your work end to end.
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
Since we first scoped this role, we have added several new clients, mostly B2B. Each one needs reporting built from the ground up, and the reports keep changing as the channel and creative teams ask new questions. Maintaining what is already built will not take time off the team’s plate; building will. We need someone who can take a request, work out where the data lives, and build reporting we can trust without our Marketing Analytics Lead rebuilding it.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Build B2B reporting: funnel and cohort tables (MQL → SQL → Opportunity), influenced pipeline, and channel and campaign breakdowns, joining CRM data to ad spend
- Support B2C accounts too: performance, pacing and creative reporting for our consumer clients, where the focus is spend efficiency, conversion and revenue
- Build creative analysis: work with our creative lead to show which concepts, formats and messages drive results, and when a creative is wearing out
- Turn requests into reports: work with our paid search, paid social and creative leads to scope what they need, ship a first version, and improve it as their questions change
- Build the pipelines behind the reports: combine CRM data (HubSpot, Salesforce), ad platform data and BigQuery into one reporting layer using SQL, Apps Script or Python. Write the code yourself or with AI coding tools like Claude Code; using AI is encouraged
- Connect the dots: reconcile CRM numbers against platform numbers and explain the gaps (attribution, consent loss, conversion lag)
- Keep what you build accurate: you own the reports you build, and leave enough notes that someone else could follow the logic
- Our Marketing Analytics Lead will stay responsible for measurement design, test design sign-off and final
QA. You own the build.
YOUR FIRST 3 MONTHS
- Weeks 1–4: Learn our reporting setup and ship your first build, a new view on an existing B2B report
- Weeks 5–8: Own a full B2B build end to end, from data connection to finished report, with our Marketing Analytics Lead reviewing
- Weeks 9–12: Take requests directly from the paid search, paid social and creative leads across B2B and B2C accounts. Our Marketing Analytics Lead will review your work, but will not direct it step by step
HOW WE’LL MEASURE SUCCESS
- Builds ship: a request becomes a usable first version within the agreed time, and review is checking, not rebuilding
- Accuracy: an error rate under 2%, nothing wrong reaches a client, and CRM numbers reconcile to the source
- Hours off our lead’s plate: our Marketing Analytics Lead’s time on build work goes down month over month
- The team uses it: channel and creative leads rely on what you build in weekly and quarterly reviews
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- B2B reporting experience is required: you’ve built funnel or pipeline reporting from HubSpot or Salesforce yourself, and you understand lifecycle stages, contact-to-deal joins and deduplication
- B2C performance reporting experience: spend, conversion, ROAS and pacing for consumer brands
4+ years in marketing analytics, including building reports, not only maintaining them
- Writes efficient SQL and code, by hand or with AI tools
- BigQuery and SQL; advanced Google Sheets
- Paid search and paid social data, and eager to learn new platforms as we add them
- Agency or multi-client experience: comfortable working across several accounts at once
- Can take a loose request, ask the right questions and deliver without step-by-step direction
- Detail-oriented: checks the numbers before anyone else sees them
NICE TO HAVES
- Tracking and measurement basics: conversion events, UTMs, GTM/GA4, and how consent and attribution settings affect the data
- Statistics for marketing: A/B testing, significance testing, power and sample size, and knowing when a result is inconclusive
- Incrementality and lift testing: holdouts, geo tests or conversion lift studies
