You'll build the systems that change how whiskey is bought and sold online. Not maintaining legacy code. Not taking tickets from a backlog. Building new products — from concept to deployment — that customers use the same week you ship them.

What You'll Build

Landing Pages & Storefront: Design and deploy conversion-optimized landing pages using Shopify Liquid. Improve site performance, UX, and checkout flows.

Customer Experience Applications: Build a subscription box customization tool so customers can set their whiskey preferences, track their bottle history, and tell us what they want and don't want. Create internal dashboards so we can see what inventory we need to source for our subscribers.

Shopify Custom Applications: Build apps that extend Shopify's capabilities — FedEx hold-at-location options, shipping threshold triggers, and smart fulfillment logic.

Preference & Subscription Engine: Build and refine the Mystery Box preference calculator that matches customers with bottles they'll love. Develop subscription management tools that give customers control.

Tech Stack & Tools

Shopify (Liquid, APIs, theme architecture), JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, SQL, HTML/CSS, React or similar frontend framework, REST/GraphQL APIs. We use AI development tools daily (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) and expect you to as well — whether you're already fluent or ready to integrate them into your workflow.

What We're Looking For

Required: 3+ years of full-stack development experience. Shopify development experience (Liquid, Shopify APIs, theme architecture). Ability to own projects end-to-end. Clear written and verbal communication in English. Comfort with AI-assisted development tools or strong willingness to adopt them immediately.

Nice to Have: Experience with subscription or membership systems. Logistics or fulfillment integrations (shipping APIs, inventory management). E-commerce optimization (conversion rate, page speed, checkout UX).
