Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Backend Architect and DevOps Specialist to design and implement a high-performance backend system tailored for users in Nigeria and West Africa. Your role will focus on optimizing infrastructure for scalability, security, and reduced latency, ensuring seamless user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Architect and manage hosting solutions using platforms such as AWS, Firebase, or Google Cloud.
• Optimize infrastructure for enhanced scalability, security, and low latency to support users in the targeted regions.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or Bitrise to streamline development and deployment processes.
• Implement effective logging and monitoring tools, including Sentry and Datadog, to ensure system reliability and performance.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps.
• Familiarity with edge caching and content delivery networks (CDNs) to enhance content delivery efficiency.
• Strong security skills, including proficiency in SSL, firewall configuration, and secure backups.

Nice to Have

• Experience in tuning hosting and CDN solutions specifically for the West African region, enhancing performance and reliability in local contexts.
