We are currently seeking a Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) External Portal Developer to support our client at Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The successful candidate will support the identification of best practice approaches and resources for achieving the VA Office of Information and Essential Duties & Responsibilities Technology (OIT) strategic objectives. We’re looking for team members with strong hands-on experience developing solutions within the Dynamics 365 cloud-based platform.
This candidate will be a senior Microsoft Dynamics Developer fulfilling their passion to learn new tools and techniques and able to identify and implement system improvements. You'll use your expertise in configuration management and application development to work with the development team to build custom modules, as needed. You'll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution being developed conforms to the architecture and operating environment as well as future functionality, enhancements, and long-term stability. You will collaborate with a mix of developers, business analysts, testers, scrum master, and business process owners in an Agile-Scrum environment.

Essential Functions And Job Responsibilities
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or technical discipline
5+ years' experience as a Software Engineer, with 3+ years in Microsoft Dynamics Development
A D365 configuration and customization background including at minimum the following skills:
Model Driven Application development including but not limited to JavaScript | Processes | Ribbons | Plugins
Canvas Apps
Power Automate
Power Pages
Power BI
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Report development
D365 to SharePoint Online Integration
Applied experience:
Integrating Microsoft Dynamics with Microsoft SharePoint and Office365
With integration services, including SSIS packages, KingswaySoft, ShareGate, and/or Azure Data Factory
Setting up and configuring new organizations for Microsoft Dynamics 365
Creating D365 plug-ins for functional customizations
Packaging D365 components and promoting D365 solutions through SDLC environments, including management of production deployments, hot fixes and roll- back strategies
Able to create logical and functional software code in a variety of languages (e.g.:ASP.NET, MVC 4.0, C#, Java script, jQuery, Bootstrap, ADO.NET, and AJAX)
Working with Cloud Service Providers, including Microsoft Azure/Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Working with government cloud environments, including Microsoft Azure Government Cloud
Understanding and articulating the benefits and risks associated with different coding languages in different functional environments
Working in DevOps, Agile Scrum
Ability to develop good working relationships with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders
Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills, including the ability to communicate with brevity and clarity to government clients and develop work products that meet professional quality standards with minimal supervision.
Ability to schedule, organize, and facilitate executive-level virtual meetings and summarize outcomes.
Ability to self-organize, balance workload, complete tasks on time (without reminders), proactively seek out assignments, and offer improvements to client delivery.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Prior experience with VA / US Government Agencies
Ability to adapt well to a changing and dynamic client environment and function independently
Ability to work nights and weekends (on occasion if needed)
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
Understanding of the Dynamics 365 (D365) CRM solution from the business / functional
perspective

Ability to effectively communicate in English, including talking and hearing.
Ability to operate productively in a fully remote work environment, including the ability to take meetings and phone calls from a quiet and private space during business hours.
Ability and willingness to actively participate in virtual meetings throughout most of the workday and be responsive to messages (MS Teams) and emails (MS Outlook) within reasonable timeframes set by the supervisor or client.
Ability to be responsive and working during Eastern time zone standard business hours (9:00am to 4:00pm EST).
Ability to satisfy security clearance and onboarding requirements:
Print, sign, scan, and return onboarding documentation.
Travel at personal expense to nearest government facility to get fingerprinted, apply for a PIV badge, pick-up the PIV badge, and pick-up government equipment.
