Summary

My passion is for technology and its integration into the modern world. I love the mix of mathematics, problem solving and creativity that software development requires. In particular, I am enthusiastic about learning interesting concepts and thinking innovatively about the pursuit of productivity and efficiency with today’s technology.

I am extremely passionate about the programming language Swift and I have kept up to date with its current evolution as a fundamental language in the world of software development, from iOS to Mac, server side Swift and Swift with AWS Lamda layers. I have built several iOS and macOS apps, from beginning to end and subsequently deployed them to the app store. I have also built a backend server-side Swift application with Amazon Web Services implementation and VueJS as a frontend. I have contributed further to many projects both in my personal capacity and during my professional career.

Vue.js
This aim of this personal project was to learn how to implement Perfect server- side Swift as a backend into a real-life application. Alt M is a feed of alternative music for users to listen to and enjoy. Later implementations have included Vue.js as a frontend framework. The backend included Amazon Web Services for hosting and Postgres database storage, with regards to tokenisation for authentication for session management. Along with load balancers and app deployment via EC2 instances.

macOS
I noticed that every morning I began opening the same applications to begin my working day. I decided to create a macOS app Shepherd that allowed me to open all the items I needed for the day with a simple click on an icon in the menu bar of my mac.
