For over 9 years I have been using Python to process and visualise data. I am passionate about teaching what I have learnt so it can add value to your business. I regularly teach courses in Python for a variety of STEM-related applications.

During my PhD and postdoctoral work I wrote a number of scientific computing applications that use some of the advanced features of C++, like templated and classes, functions and inheritance. Using this experience I can help diagnose problems with and optimise your C and C++ algorithms.

During my undergraduate and PhD studies I used and developed FORTRAN programs for computational fluid dynamics simulations.

During my postdoctoral job I wrote a CUDA-enabled application that streamed data through multiple GPUs for synthetic seismic wave propagation. My experience with CUDA has fallen behind lately as I am actively focussed on OpenCL as a more general purpose compute platform.

As a computational physicist I can help with mapping equations or ideas to code. As a physicist I can understand the maths and physical basis for an algorithm, and as a scientific computing expert I can suggest ways that the algorithm can be expressed in code.

I am keenly interested in this technology and have recently developed teaching courses in OpenCL as well as a general purpose compute framework to access OpenCL compute functionality from C, Fortran, and Python programs.
