I have written large scale applications based on WordPress but ran the views through a javascript application built in underscore.js. I can write plain javascript, which oftentimes is a much better solution that loading libraries like jQuery. 

When building themes, HTML and CSS both play a major role. Using CSS3 to build complex animations and HTML5 to keep up with latest standards, HTML and CSS are a well known topic. 

PHP has been my main programming language since the start of my career in web development. While WordPress and Drupal are great systems to use, knowing PHP and the underlying mechanics have helped me develop more efficiently and better applications and plugins. 

Today you cannot develop a website without jQuery being involved. Since starting, I have written small jQuery plugins and helper functions that are packaged with clients websites or applications. 

As with WordPress, I have been using and honing my MySQL skill since I started developing. I am experienced in writing simple and complex MySQL queries, replacing data within a MySQL database and moving large-scale databases to different environments.

I have used AWS on smaller deployed projects and when clients have requested. I am experienced in the Amazon dashboard and environments. I have a good understanding of their ecosystem and how to maximize the results from it. 

I have used Git for project management and deployment as well as collaboration with other users. While using Git I have encountered many challenges and learned a great deal on how to troubleshoot repositories, reconfigure and merge conflicting repositories, and work with various Git workflows. 

KendoUI was chosen by a project manager in a large-scale application for a private enterprise. I was able to learn how to utilize it and execute on the work that was required. 

I have been using WordPress for a long time. I started with simple theme changes and worked up to building my own plugins and themes. I have used WordPress in large scale API application development for clients and know the system very well. 

I have managed clients websites on my own server instances for 5 years, building, load balancing and using the latest in open source technologies to make them faster and more efficient. I am well versed in the LEMP stack and various caching methods, as well as troubleshooting complex errors when sites go down. 

I have experience in working within the Microsoft ecosystem and using SQL Server.
