Working in the Banner XE technology stack which consists of grails, java, javascript, css, and other web technologies. Deploying the XE applications to tomcat servers. Been working on modifying the source code using intelliJ idea. Soon will be looking at morpheus forms, and working on custom/in-house grails applications. I worked on the business services team which maintains banner finance, banner Human Resources, and banner Accounts Receivable. We also supported a reporting tool called infoGriz which is a homegrown reporting tool using the BIRT report design tool. We also supported Helena College, Miles Community College and Dawson Community College. I did a little bit of everything ranging from project management to development to testing. Most of my development time was spent in PL/SQL, however we also had programs written in Cobol, C, and Java. As Ellucian (the parent company of our ERP) advances we are learning the Groovy & Grails tech stack which combines multiple technologies.
