Applications Engineer

Michael Miedlar

Successfully pitched design upgrades to real time flight simulators. Actively planning consolidation of common simulation features including terrain, atmosphere, and weather. 

Huntington Ingalls 

Upgraded and rewrote software for interactive robotic medical device classified by United States and multiple national governments. Met rigorous standards and regulations for quality and safety, transforming product with low reliability into commercially viable offering. Upgraded existing tools in embedded C to expand capabilities and repair issues. Rewrote software to allow integration of new motors. Created off-line software to test capabilities and introduced new testing method that more accurately assessed quality of construction. 

DesIN LLC

Provided broad-based technical support mission analysis for commercial and military aircraft engines. Created suite of tools to allow client engineers to perform analyses by combining Visual C++ and Intel Fortran with components in each language, ultimately creating synthesized package allowing broad range of analyses (rainflow, flight segmentation, mission classification, and transient response) of flight data and on-demand plotting capability with real-time user interface. Delivered interfaces for two relational databases with different security levels for storing and retrieving data.

General Electric Aviation

Designed, developed, and continue to support programs and databases for daily business operations and project management for growing company through various mergers and acquisitions. Created three-part factory parts ordering system utilized by multiple departments and corresponding database that generates reports. Delivered Access database QA scheduling and reporting and devised functionality to process data from legacy structures. Created Access database that tracks production milestones and provides framework for data-driven decision making.

Johnson Electric

Delivered and support database programs for daily operation and web files (HTML) for customer interaction. Engineered Access database for automated scheduling and inventory control leveraging sophisticated set of heuristics to determine production plans, order materials, and maintain customer feedback. Created database to track regulatory compliance and QA issues for ISO certification. Converted printed catalog to web pages with automatically updated pricing.

Dillon Manufacturing

Provided broad-based technical support for real-time avionics simulation. Delivered numerous projects including embedded operational flight program, airframe system and subsystem models, and multi-faculty simulations. Integrated external hardware and software for testing. Developed and marketed generic aircraft model (C++) subsequently utilized by external companies to support military and civilian aviation research and development.
