Systems and Development Manager

I have been teaching HTML, CSS, PHP, and WordPress on Codementor since April 2016. I also teach/tutor at in-person and online sessions as well as speak at WordCamps and Meetups.

Teacher/Mentor

A large portion of my work at KHM Travel Group has been WordPress related, including theme and plugin development, WordPress Multisite installation/development, and site launches. We have ten WordPress sites, and I launched five of them. The designers hand .psd files over to me, and I build the theme, custom post types, and custom fields. Another big role of my job is PHP web form development and maintenance. In the last year or so, I have also started working with a variety of APIs. 
- Integration of WishList Member API and Mandrill API on training portal with 3,700+ users 
- Integration of various APIs such as ActiveCampaign, Mobilecommons, and GetResponse on lead opt-in forms on 20+ landing pages 
- Integration of Stripe API on membership enrollment forms 
- Integration of Authorize.Net on event registration forms 
- Development of webhooks for Mandrill API and Stripe API 
- Development of a WordPress Multisite for 4,000+ travel agent sites 
- Development of a custom upload form to transfer information from an old Codeigniter database to new WordPress database

Front End Web Developer

BGSU Office of Campus Operations was where I had my third co-op/internship. I worked on projects for Campus Operations divisions like Custodial Services, HVAC, the Heating Plant and Grounds. I also worked on the Campus Sustainability website. I used BGSU's Content Management System, Percussion, again in this department. I implemented an image gallery and divided content into expandable jQuery divs. The marketing staff in the department was limited, so I also did some photography. 
- Maintenance and redesign of elements on web pages such as slideshows and expandable elements using JavaScript 
- Photograph job duties of other employees as well as special events and buildings

Web Designer

My second co-op/internship was with the BGSU Department of Recreation and Wellness. I worked on projects for the various sub-departments of RecWell such as the Student Recreation Center, the Forrest Creason Golf Course, the Outdoor Program, the Ice Arena, and Intramurals. 
- Awarded 3rd place in 2013 NIRSA Creative Excellence Awards for Student Digital Presentation 
- Manipulation and placement of images, Flash, JavaScript, and text elements on the web 
- Worked with Rhythmyx (Percussion) Content Management System 
- Dreamweaver CS5.5 and Constant Contact training of co-workers

Web/Technology Associate

Use PHP to integrate with various APIs, connect to databases, loop through data, sanitize and process form input, etc.

 
I've been working with front-end technologies (including HTML, CSS, jQuery, and vanilla JavaScript) professionally for 8 years.  I've been teaching clients HTML/CSS since 2016 and have been an asset for those learning or getting reaquainted with front-end technologies.  I am especially skilled in web form styling and CSS media queries.

I have been developing themes/plugins professionally since 2014. I have worked with WordPress Customizer, the Settings API, Multisite, and developed custom plugins as well.
