I build competitive and innovative features for Micrcosoft Advertising (formerly Bing Ads), mostly working on the Campaign UI, but with experience on various other extensions of the platform.

Senior Software Engineer

I was recruited to this role to bring my engineering rigor to the Windows Servicing and Deployment team.
I provided revisions to the update stack architecture to help modernize, modularize and generally improve it. 
I also built, implemented, delivered and managed a lightweight effective updater for “stuck” devices.

Led a team of up to 4 engineers to revise upgrade appraisals for ongoing Windows 10 upgrades.  Build a gating mechanism to enable best upgrades first worldwide with rapid turnaround for stopping bad upgrade experiences as they are discovered.  
Expanded the compatibility infrastructure for new hardware architecture bringups.
Maintained code quality and coached junior engineers to the same standards.

Build technology to perform a background compatibility appraisal of Win7+ machines worldwide to ensure a smooth upgrade process for Windows 10.
Collected telemetry at scale for 500M+ Windows Machines to prioritize features on the monthly ship cadence.

My primary experience with C++ is for high performance low level / background applications or services for Windows, including OS hooks, critical paths and kernel components.

I have built Windows services deployed to over 500M devices, collecting telemetry at scale and processing it efficiently and serving as a data platform for other Windows teams.
