Java is a core language that I use daily. Developed java applications using various concepts of Java - OOPS, Collections, Multithreading, Concurrency Handling, Exception Handling, JDBC, Lambdas, Streams etc.

And I am a firm believer in developer testing; therefore, I use JUnit, Mockito, JMockIt heavily in my developer testing. 

I also have experience with JSP, Servlet, JavaBeans, JSTL, JDBC, Hibernate ORM, Spring Framework, and nowadays, its Spring Boot, with Spring JPA and Spring Web are the tools I use more frequently. 

Though I started with Oracle database where I have around 3 years of experience there, most of my recent experience is with MySQL flavoured databases. ( MySQL, MariaDB, Amazon Aurora ), and I enjoy complex performance issues in databases. 
While there are situations that we have to do application-code-level changes in order to get the best performance from a database most of the time it’s a matter of setting correct indexes, a problem in the connection string or any other configuration. Having a strong understanding of how indexes work how the database does its job internally, I believe, have helped me to solve the most complex issues associated with them
