C++ has been my main language for almost 2 decades. I have worked on both client and server applications, command line and GUI interfaces and cross platform code bases. I have worked with Qt as a core application framework for a considerable portion of the time and embrace a large amount of C++11 contructs where appropriate. Some of my blog articles reflect this. I am wary of rating myself on C++ as there are some very clever people in the C++ world!

I have worked with Java on and off for the last 15 years or so. 

As well as the direct experience using XSL-FO, I use XSLT for a large variety of transformation tasks, from XML->HTML, XML->CSS and XML->C++.

I have experience of using C# for desktop application development, including working on a team to develop a media player application for Nokia (RIP). I also currently work on an eLearning authoring tool, which I have contributed to for several years.

Not only have I produced printed content based on FO, I have a good amount of experience in working around the limitations of FO using extensions and various "tricks" to produce the desired output, with minimal compromises. I also have a good level of knowledge of the FOP codebase.
