I joined one of the development teams based in the AGL office to assist with the technology uplift of the main Sitecore solution, ensuring consistency and best coding practises. - Developing a customisation of the Sitecore Package Deployer to create additional log files, including exception details, in case of errors during the installation of our bundled TDS packages - Developing new customisations within the AGL solution following the Sitecore Helix principles, including the Tealium Tag Manager - Addressing and fixing potential vulnerabilities and security risks in the codebase, raised by Fortify on Demand - Writing PowerShell scripts to assist other development teams in AGL, and to bulk update workflow states in Sitecore according to the rules determined by the business - Cleaning both the codebase and Sitecore TDS items to remove dependencies on legacy code and unused features and NuGet packages, ensuring consistency across the whole Sitecore solution - Supporting DevOps to transition the deployment process of the Sitecore solution to high velocity in Azure WebApps - Gathering requirements and writing technical recommendations and findings in JIRA and Confluence. Working closely with Business Analysts and Product Owners from the business - Arranging semi-automated deployments to various environments using GIT, Bamboo and Octopus

I joined the development team to assist with the development and delivery of a challenging stream of new features requested by the agency’s largest client: Bunnings. - Developing new modules and supporting the existing codebase of the Bunnings website, using Sitecore 8.1 and ASP.NET. Introducing e-Gift Cards to Bunnings New Zealand, as per Bunnings Australia - Supporting Product Database: an ASP.NET MVC application used for managing products, including a console app which transforms this data warehouse into a Sitecore index file - Supporting Order Fulfillment: an ASP.NET MVC application that enables Bunnings to manage the orders placed in the website - Reviewing the work completed by other developers using pull requests in BitBucket. Ensuring consistency and abiding by the client’s standards and best coding practises - Writing technical solution designs in Confluence. Transforming user stories into units of work and providing accurate estimates - Arranging application deployments to various environments using TeamCity, Octopus and TDS packages
