I've used JavaScript a lot: Frontend in the browser, NodeJS backend stuff, MongoDB, JScript automation scripts, even app development on the now-defunct Palm webOS mobile phone OS. I've built a number of games with it, including what I'm reasonably sure was one of the first browser-based realtime online games.

I've built several web apps and backend services with node, and also some webOS background services.

I've built PHP apps ranging from simple blogs to large-scale CMS's.

I've used HTML back when people thought <blink> was a cool tag.

I put high value on using unit tests (and integration tests etc.) to verify program behavior. They are very useful especially in large-scale apps and during development to make sure new changes do not cause bugs in old code.

I've used Selenium heavily to build integration tests for a number of different web apps

I've administered my own servers pretty much since starting working with web development.

I've been using Haskell for side-projects for a while, and applying techniques from it to my day to day work with JavaScript and other languages.

I've used CoffeeScript and discovered it's very Perl-like in its ability to enable "write-only" code

Favorite source control tool. Completely unintuitive, yet efficient once you learn it.

I've used MySQL with many applications, both web and traditional, and from many languages including PHP, JavaScript, Python, C#, Java and Haskell

Must have for bigger frontend projects despite what people say. Very convenient and many readily available packages make this very valuable, but also very easy to end up with spaghetti code.
