• Performs expert level server builds/deployment, configurations and upgrades under the Unix platform (i.e RHEL 6/7, Solaris 10/11). • Create scripts and programs under Python/Bash language for automation. • Deploy Linux clusters running in Veritas HA and RedHat HA tools. • Performs checking and issues replacement for faulty hardware devices on servers. • Deploy, configure and maintain physical and virtual machines running in the HPE/Dell/VMWare hardware. • Support and coordinate with various teams to resolve application issues through tickets and emails. • Participates in projects and/or coordinates projects associated with implementation of upgrades, installations, modifications and customization of systems. • Performs server audits to ensure compliance with company standards

Incident Management • Troubleshoot servers running on the Unix (Solaris, HPUX) and Linux (Redhat) platforms. • Install, upgrade and configure HP Operations Agent (HPOM). • Support and coordinate with various teams to resolve application issues through tickets and emails. • Create SLA reports for incident based tickets. • Performs package switchover for server clusters to prevent downtime and application unavailability for HPUX and Solaris Platforms. • Configuration and maintenance of various applications such as Apache, SSH, NFS, Samba, Cron and MySQL. • Monitors file systems and server resources for capacity and/or mounting issues. • Performs checking and part replacement for faulty hardware devices. • Performs network configuration of Linux/Unix servers. • Maintains and manages virtual machines running in the VMWare platform. • Install, configure and manage firewall management software such as IPTables and CSF. • Manages servers using Integrated Lights Out (ILO) and Oracle Integrated Lights Out Manager (ALOM) • Creates and configures account settings and permissions in the Linux, Solaris and HPUX platforms. • Performs other duties as maybe assigned by Team Leader or Manager. Change Management • Performs regular patching of servers running on the Linux/Unix platform.
