My use of git is due to how simple I find it , it has actually saved me several times when I backed up my files on a repo and kept me in sync with my teammates to check an focus on the TASK in hand, it lets you experiment on new features without thinking your code or ideas might be lost which is the most reliable point of git

Firebase is a lifesaver for me as I first started using it when I wanted to create whole modules for just authentication - then I implemented the marvelous real-time database which really changes the concept of refresh life cycles of Android activities and fragments and so many other things like being nosql

I have created multiple databases in my career - both online and offline and all was due to my curiosity of checking where do we get the data from an with that I mind I have used PHP database - Ubuntu SQL database 

I have switched from Andoid Studio on Windows to Android Studio on Ubuntu due to how marvelous Ubuntu is ... Open source - really good as an environment and most of all it's great for  developers
