Dev Bootcamp is a 9-week intensive training program for web development with an emphasis on Ruby on Rails.  Dedicated over 1000 hours to coding challenges, self-guided study, and group projects.  Built web applications in Ruby and Javascript using MVC, RESTful, and object-oriented design patterns.  Implemented test-driven development using RSpec, Cabybara, and Jasmine.  Led the implementation of the strategy design pattern for testing restaurant recommendation algorithms on my final group project, Feed.Me. See project below.  Learned data persistence practices through the use of PostgreSQL and Active Record as well as in the study of associations and normalization techniques. I've worked professionally in web facing software for the past two years. I love javascript! Would love to dig into topics from prototypical inheritance and functional programming to dom manipulation and getting that darn date picker to stay open and closed when it should :)

I've written a number of production web applications, supporting gems, and services in ruby. I've worked on enterprise rails and SaaS rails applications. Favorite gems include devise, slim, stripe, twilio, sidekiq, and pry.

I began working with SQL doing a lot of custom query writing for digital marketing agencies. In the last two years I've been working as a full stack developer requiring daily database administration. I can help with anything from making safe multi stage migrations, query planner analysis, domain modeling, normalization, and safe encoding of sql queries.
