Production Technologist

I started developing games using Swift and Spritekit.  This involved proof of concept all the way up to implementing ad networks and managing marketing efforts with facebook advertising, Admob and other ad networks.  From there, I moved into the educational field.  I've worked on over 60 apps for a variety of colleges and universities including Ivy League schools like Harvard and Stanford.  I've used my experience from building game animations to deliver the best possible UI/UX for these apps.

Swift is my language of choice.  It's a beautiful programming language to both read and write.  It features type-safety and optionals to safely handle empty value conditions.  I love using swift with all my iOS projects.

I got my start with Android while working for Innosoft Canada.  They offer recreational department management software to universities and colleges.  Part of the service they offer is an Android app that students can download to stay up to date with campus events.  It was my Job to develop features and support this app that was used by tens of thousands of students.  All development was done natively using Java.  I would be happy to help you out with any Android development. 

I started programming with Java when I began to pick up Android development.  It is an extremely stable language with many years of use to vouch for its value.  I've used Java for building all of my Android projects.  

Currently building a full fledged home automation app based on AWS cloud features.  Leveraging services like, Cognito, DynamoDB, AppSync, S3 Storage, AWSIoT and others.

I've used Firebase to build scalable and reliable applications quickly.  Firebase is an amazing tool that can be used to add many features to your app like authentication, notifications, messaging, file storage as well as being a reliable backend.  I would be happy to help you with any firebase related questions or jobs.

I've used Stripe in combination with Firebase to quickly build a reliable payment gateway for a contracting app.  Some of the functions include in app payment using customer credit cards and direct payouts to bank accounts.

A project is not complete without proper version control.  Experienced using GIT for version control with remote repositories in Github and Bitbucket.  I use the gitflow workflow for personal and profesional projects.

Managed a project with a large number of targets.  Implemented a Fastlane integration to speed up builds and increase efficiency.  Experienced writing custom lanes in Ruby. 

I've built high quality UI's using SwiftUI and look forward to seeing the technology grow.

Fishio is a throwback to some classic games found on a younger world wide web! The players goal is to slowly grow their goldfish to reach the top of the food-chain. Points are awarded for every enemy goldfish eaten. As the player progresses through the levels the enemies will become larger, faster and harder to avoid.
As players collect coins by leveling up, they are able to unlock new goldfish with improved abilities. This will allow for even higher scores and greater variety in gameplay. Challenge your friends to achieve the highest score!
