Hi! I'm Golfo, a Frontend Engineer with a passion for working with fully remote, international teams to develop outstanding SaaS products. With my people-first mindset, I always prioritize collaboration and communication to create the best possible outcomes.
In the last 5 years, I've gained experience with a variety of frameworks, but I'm currently most excited about React and Next.js. Whether it's building elegant user interfaces or streamlining complex workflows, I'm always eager to tackle new challenges.
Outside of work, I love giving back to the tech community as a mentor for the Collab Lab. This program empowers individuals from underrepresented groups to launch careers in software development, and I'm honored to play a part in their journeys.

Mobile and web app to read curated news from premium publishers.
My responsibilities at informed included:
- Taking on primary responsibility for the web app, maintaining the existing code base and introducing new features.
- Implementing a user-friendly checkout experience using a customized Stripe integration that enabled customers to securely make payments without leaving the platform.
- Technical leadership of the frontend domain including performance optimization, technology evaluation, ensuring code quality, and implementing internationalization (i18n).
- Collaborating closely with product designers and backend engineers to develop new features and establish best design practices, such as a design system to ensure a consistent user interface design.
BRYTER is the no-code service automation platform that enables business experts to build digital applications.
The remote, cross-functional team I worked on is responsible for providing database capabilities to the platform, which allowed our customers to create, collect and store records in a way that simplifies data retrieval and reuse for other reasons. I worked mainly on the UI using Vue.js and Typescript.
My day-to-day responsibilities included:
- Owning development of features and seeing them to production
- Supporting and unblocking others in their work by doing tech support, code reviews and pair programming
- Refactoring the codebase to improve the quality of our code
- Getting involved in improving processes both as a collaborator and by taking initiative
