Premium Poker Tools is a web application that contains tools that poker players use to study. Many people have told me that it is the best software of it's type on the market.

As a solo founder, I had to "wear all the hats": front end development, back end development, product development, design, talking to users, marketing, business development, sales, pricing, customer support, etc. I worked with Vue.js, Node, Express, and Mongo.

Founder

As a software developer at Clutter, I worked on an internal tool that the sales and customer support teams used to accept phone calls and keep records of customers and leads. I worked with Angular, Ruby on Rails and Twilio.

Software Developer

As a web developer at Mobiquity, I worked on a variety of projects that involved building web applications for large companies, such as Centros Health and Kum & Go. I worked with Angular and Backbone.js.

College Inside View provided more detailed student reviews of college. Student reviews of colleges exist, but they address broad questions such as "What are the academics like at Pitt?". I wanted to address narrow questions such as "Are the neuroscience professors approachable?" It turned out to be too expensive to pay for content, and also too difficult to acquire users. I taught myself Ruby on Rails and used it to build College Inside View.

I've been working with JavaScript throughout my whole career and have worked with a ton of different libraries and frameworks, including Vue, React, Angular, Backbone, Node, Express, Passport, and Mongo.

I've been using Vue for the past three years or so in building Premium Poker Tools (https://premiumpokertools.com/). I feel very comfortable with Vue and believe it is a framework that I can certainly hit the ground running with when working on new projects.

I used Rails in building my first startup College Inside View, at my second job Clutter, and to build an early prototype of Premium Poker Tools.

Angular was the first framework I really became very comfortable with. We learned it at Fullstack Academy and I used it every day at Mobiquity and Clutter.

I used Backbone for a while on a project at Mobiquity.

I have a lot of experience with Node, Express and Mongo + Mongoose: three years using them with Premium Poker Tools, we learned them at Fullstack Academy, and they're always my go-to for my side projects.

I used React to build an early prototype of Premium Poker Tools, but ended up switching to Vue. Although I don't have too much actual experience coding in React, it is pretty similar to Vue, which I do have a lot of experience with, so I am also quite comfortable using React.
