About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced Data Scientist with a strong background in manufacturing and industrial systems. The role involves building scalable data solutions, deploying machine learning models, and enabling real-time analytics to improve shop floor operations, production efficiency, and overall business outcomes. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams and bridge OT and IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy ML models for predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, demand forecasting, and root cause analysis
- Build scalable data pipelines for high-volume manufacturing and IoT data
- Integrate data from MES, SCADA, and ERP systems for real-time analytics
- Apply OEE, SPC, Six Sigma, and lean methodologies to improve production efficiency
- Work with industrial protocols such as OPC-UA, MQTT, and Modbus
- Perform statistical analysis including time series, regression, clustering, and hypothesis testing
- Design and conduct A/B experiments and simulations to validate process improvements
- Translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and leadership teams
Required Skills
- 8–10 years of experience as a Data Scientist
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- Hands-on experience with Spark, Kafka, Airflow, and Delta Lake
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Databricks, or Snowflake
- Strong understanding of statistical methods and machine learning techniques
- Experience deploying ML models into production environments
- Knowledge of MES, SCADA, and ERP systems
Preferred Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Experience with IoT and real-time data streaming
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma practices
- Experience working with large-scale production data systems
