Performance Marketing Manager – Fantasy Sports (5+ Years Experience)Job Description:
We are looking for a Performance Marketing Manager with 5+ years of experience in the fantasy sports industry to drive user acquisition, retention, and revenue growth through data-driven marketing strategies. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of digital advertising, user behavior analytics, and ROI optimization in the fantasy sports ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Paid Media Strategy & Execution
- Plan, execute, and optimize paid marketing campaigns across Google Ads, Meta (Facebook & Instagram), YouTube, Programmatic, Twitter, and Affiliate Networks.
- Focus on CPI (Cost Per Install), CPA (Cost Per Acquisition), ROAS (Return on Ad Spend), and LTV (Lifetime Value) to optimize ad spend.
- Scale high-performing channels while continuously A/B testing creatives, targeting, and ad formats.
✅ User Acquisition & Growth
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire high-intent fantasy sports users.
- Leverage lookalike audiences, retargeting, and interest-based targeting to optimize acquisition.
- Track organic vs. paid user ratio and align acquisition strategies accordingly.
✅ Data-Driven Campaign Optimization
- Use tools like Google Analytics, AppsFlyer/Branch, Firebase, Adjust, or other MMPs for deep performance tracking.
- Analyze CTR, Conversion Rate, Cost Per First Deposit (CPFD), and Deposit Rate to optimize campaigns.
- Implement automation and AI-based bidding strategies for maximum efficiency.
✅ Retention & Engagement
- Work closely with the CRM & Retention teams to enhance user engagement via push notifications, email marketing, and in-app promotions.
- Optimize churn reduction strategies, ensuring high D1, D7, and D30 retention rates.
- Leverage data insights to reduce user drop-offs and increase deposits.
✅ Budgeting & ROI Management
- Own and manage a multi-million-dollar marketing budget with a focus on high ROI.
- Optimize spends across different platforms while maintaining a positive LTV/CAC ratio.
- Collaborate with finance and leadership to ensure marketing efficiency.
✅ Creative & Content Strategy
- Collaborate with designers and content teams to create high-performing ad creatives, landing pages, and video ads tailored for sports audiences.
- Test different ad formats (static, video, carousel, playable ads) to maximize engagement.
✅ Collaboration & Team Leadership
- Work closely with Product, Tech, Data Science, and Design teams to align marketing campaigns with user experience.
- Manage external agencies, ad networks, and affiliates to scale performance marketing efforts.
Key Requirements:
✔ 5+ years of experience in performance marketing for fantasy sports, gaming, or sports-tech platforms. ✔ Strong expertise in Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Affiliate Marketing, ASO, and Programmatic Advertising. ✔ Deep knowledge of MMPs (AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch, Firebase) and analytics tools. ✔ Proven experience in managing multi-million-dollar ad spends with a positive ROAS. ✔ Expertise in user segmentation, funnel optimization, and churn reduction. ✔ Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools. ✔ Passion for sports, fantasy gaming, and performance-driven marketing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in Dream11, MPL, My11Circle, or similar fantasy sports platforms. Strong understanding of fantasy sports user behavior & lifecycle. Hands-on experience with AI-driven marketing automation tools.
